Journey Payroll & HR locations have local ownership groups and independently carry insurance and bond coverage. Transparency is one of our values, so do not hesitate to question the details of our multi-million dollar coverage policies! Though we will warn you, they aren’t the most thrilling read, but they do allow you to sleep well at night.

Mass Blocking

All of our employees and clients are in the United States, and therefore we can deny access to certain parts of the world, because nobody should be entering our system from there. If a client travels to these countries and needs our support accessing their data, they can reach out to us directly for that personal support.

Built into Juniper SRX firewalls and SkyATP, both critical components of E.V.E. 3.0, we have blocked all IP addresses based out of China, India, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine.

Server Capabilities

Our servers contain three major layers, each made up of four sub-layers. Each layer and sub-layer represents a basic building block — much like a club sandwich’s layers, but tastier (security-wise that is)! This design was put in place with the goals of 100% Customer Uptime and Absolute Data Protection.

Two Factor Verification

Two-factor authentication is a two-step verification to confirm a user’s identity. This process utilizes a password that is known by the user (preferably saved in a system like LastPass.com) and a second factor such as a code sent to the user’s phone.

If a password is stolen the old-fashioned way, the fraudulent person cannot access the payroll account, because they would also need the user’s phone.

Team Member Training

Our team members undergo rigorous training to ensure your files are protected and secure. Strict protocols are followed for transmitting and receiving confidential information, hard copy material, and online payroll service access.

Natural Disasters

In the event that a Journey Payroll & HR office closes due to a natural disaster or something outside our control during regular business hours, our backup office is prepared to be available and ready to support you with your questions and urgent needs.

Variance Report

  • Employee Pay Variance – Compares current pay against average pay for anyone over the pay variance threshold
  • Pay Totals Variance – Compares current pay codes used to average pay codes used
  • Employee’s First Time Pay – Shows any new employees paid for the first time
  • Terminated Employees That Received a Check – Shows any terminated employees paid in the payroll
  • Users Pay Report – Shows the current payroll for the online payroll user, comparison of current pay vs. last 10 payrolls
